Two Sides as They Blur

Life so gently reminds us of its rhythms and cycles.

Observing this yesterday, as co-workers approached back-to-back to share their special moments – the first, so proud of precious newborn twins, universe in their eyes and the little girl seemingly permanently attached to big brother’s head (by the lip – apparently he tastes good :)), the second, in grief, holds out a photo of a beloved grandmother, currently transitioning, wrapped in love and held in light.

So much beauty, and so much pain, “all in the very same second maybe,” as Mikey would have put it. So it is, and so it goes. May we be present to it all, and may love carry us gently wherever our footsteps lead.

P.S. Ever notice how when we look at the different aspects of life so closely, the edges begin to blur?
